Sundays

Our Sunday morning service is at 10.30 and consists of singing, prayers and a message from the Bible, followed by refreshments in the back hall. There are also classes for children and young people held during the service and a creche for young children.

The main purpose of our service on Sunday morning is to share the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ. God has sent His Son into our world so that through His death and resurrection we can be forgiven of our sins and have new, eternal, life. God offers eternal life in His Son to all those who turn from their sins and believe in Jesus Christ, receiving Him as their Saviour.

We place great importance on preaching from the Bible in our services. This is not only because we believe that the Bible is God's Word but also because God's Word transforms our lives! People will come to faith in Christ and those who are already believers will grow in their faith to become mature believers. Thus, particularly on Sunday mornings, we attempt to preach 'the whole counsel of God' by having series of messages on various Biblical books and topics. We aim, not simply to get people to 'make a decision for Christ', but to make disciples.

On Sunday evenings at 6pm we have a different type of service. This meeting is for the Church and at its centre is the Lord's Supper in which we remember the Lord Jesus Christ over a simple meal - bread and wine. In this meeting we also give expression to the truth taught in the NT that the Church is a body composed of different people with different gifts. The church 'grows and builds itself up in love, as does its work' (Ephesians 4:16). Thus, there is opportunity for one to give out a hymn, another to give thanks, another to exercise the gift of teaching or encouragement, each according to their gifts and according as they are led by Christ's Spirit (1 Cor. 14:26).
